Hi, I'm Shifra!
I'm a reporter at NOTUS and a fellow at the Allbritton Journalism Institute, where I cover politics with a focus on the New York and New Jersey Congressional delegations. I've reported on tax policy, energy policy, national and state elections and more. I was one of 10 people selected for AJI's 2024-26 political reporting fellowship class out of more than 300 applicants.
Past stops include the University of Maryland (where I earned dual bachelor's degrees in journalism and environmental science and policy), the Dow Jones News Fund (where I interned in data journalism at the Connecticut Mirror and in multiplatform editing at Stars and Stripes), the Frederick News-Post and the Howard Center for Investigative Journalism.
